Howto: Specksend
Only senders need the following client
(Only a windows client, yet)
::Download Specksender::
1. Download and execute Specksender.exe
(You may have to allow Specksender.exe
in your firewall)
2. Drop the file you want to send into the window
3. You will be presented with a transfer window like below
-- 3.1. You can either give the direct link to the recipient by using the copy download URL to clipboard and pasteing it to an IM or email
-- 3.2. Or, you can verbally tell the keyphrase (see below) to the recipient, and the recipient can get the download link from www.specksend.com

-- Specksend is a way to easily send larget files over a network by temporarily turning your computer into a simple web server, and recipients can access it using english keyphrases.
-- It assignes a pair of English words for each file, so you can easily transfer files by sharing the keyphrase over the phone, handwritten notes or texts.
-- Files can be downloaded from anywhere that has a web browser, this can be computer, tablets or smartphones.
-- Specksend is meant to be a file transfer method, not a wide-scale file sharing platform.
This is why the Specksender allows only one transfer at a time, and it is impossible to search any list of transfer information.
-- No information about the transfers are kept on the server. All transfers are meant to be personal and private.
